Michael D. Holloway – Chair
Training & Competency Development
Michael D. Holloway is President of 5th Order Industry which provides competency development and training programs for many industries offering standard, customized, and certification preparation courses. He has over 35 years’ experience in industry starting with research and development, product management, sales, marketing, and business development and management. A proven professional that drives results starting with an idea then a committed execution to excellence. He holds 14 professional certifications, a patent, a Master of Science in Polymer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor or Arts in Philosophy from Salve Regina University, Newport RI, and has authored 8 books.
5th Order Industry is now recognized as a world leader in competency development for certification preparation. Michael created the world leading 5th Order Industry Competency Development Model©, a learning system like no other in the industry. Based on the neuroscience cognitive pathway development research that is underway as well as an implementation of a heuristic practice with a guided cooperative argumentative dialogue between individuals and instructors of continuous asking and answering questions that stimulate critical thinking to draw out underlying presumptions.
Jeanine M. Galusha, Ph.D
Jeanine M. Galusha, Ph.D. is a neuropsychologist and specializes in forensic psychology. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and a fellowship in forensic psychology. Her primary duties involve conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations of criminal defendants and civil litigants, testifying in court, and providing consultation to attorneys.
Dr. Galusha serves as a clinical associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She provides mental health wellness and resiliency consulting to local law enforcement agencies and is involved in ongoing research investigating mental health in first responders. Dr. Galusha additionally serves on several advisory boards including the board for One Community USA Pathways to H.O.P.E (Helping Offenders Pursue Excellence).
Colonel, U.S. Army, Retired
Kim graduated from Utah State University in 1991 with a bachelor of science degree in journalism and philosophy. He attended USMC officer candidates’ school and entered active duty as a Second Lieutenant. Hodges earned an MBA and a Master of Science in National Security, and foreign strategy from the Naval War College, Newport RI. He completed flight school in Kingsville, Texas in 1995, and moved to El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, California where he flew the F/A-18 Hornet. In 1997 he was reassigned to Miramar Marine Corps Air Station, California where he continued to fly the F/A-18, later transitioning to be a KC-130 pilot. He served on the USS Kitty Hawk, USS Eisenhower, and USS Nimitz.
In 2000, Kim completed an interservice transfer to the U.S. Army as a Captain and served 22 years in Special Operations as a parachute infantryman. He served three tours in Iraq, completing 74 ground combat missions; he has also served in Afghanistan, Horn of Africa, Albania, and South Korea.
Kim retired after 34 years combined service with increasing responsibilities from Private to Colonel. He has experienced leadership opportunities in U.S. Army Special Operations, and he is astute in DoD structures and capabilities at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels. He commanded at every officer rank, served as commander, and staff officer during both peace and war, culminating as the Senior Joint Operations Center Director for USINDOPACOM, managing current operations for the largest combatant command, encompassing 51% of the Earth, overseeing 315,000 personnel from all four branches of DoD.
Timothy Herbert Jones –
CLS MLT LLA1
Timothy is a Certified Lubricant Specialist at Sun Coast Resources, a national fuel and lubricants distributor. He has worked in the oil field since 1988 in all aspects from banking to driving a delivery truck. His primary focus is Lubricants Training for salespeople and customers.
Timothy was born in Beaumont, Texas, but was raised in Silsbee, Texas surrounded by his extended family. He graduated from Silsbee High School in 1987 and went on to study at Lamar University. Timothy worked part time in his family’s business, JH Jones Oil Company, while attending college. He received an Associate Degree in Business Administration in 1993.
He returned to college with the intention of getting a degree in Criminal Justice but had to leave school to become president of his family business after the death of his father in 2001.

Sun Coast Resources has given Timothy the opportunity to grow professionally in his field. He was able to become certified BT STLE as a Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS). He later became a Machine Lubrication Technician (MLT) and a Lubrication Laboratory Analyst (LLA 1). He has been with Sun Coast Resources for 20 years.
In his spare time, Timothy enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and children. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, and watching professional baseball. His love of hunting has led him to becoming a guide for hunts at some of the most premier ranches in Texas.
Michael E. Kolek –
Master Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps, Retired
Master Sergeant (Ret.) Kolek served as a Career Recruiter with the 8th Marine Corps District. During High School, he enlisted in the Marine Corps in June of 1994, shipping to recruit training in May of 1995 and graduating in August 1995.
Upon completion of Infantry Training Battalion, Lance Corporal Kolek attended the Light Armored Vehicle Crewman’s Course and graduated on 1 November, 1995. Lance Corporal Kolek’s first duty station was 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion where he served as a LAV driver, gunner, vehicle commander, and Platoon Sergeant for Charlie Company 1st Platoon.
In February of 1999 Sergeant Kolek was relocated to Camp Pendleton as an instructor at the School of Infantry and the Close Combat Instructor Course. During his tour at the School of infantry Sergeant Kolek was a key participant in the development and transition of the Marine Corp Martial Arts Program and received a Plank Holder Certificate from the Director of the Martial Arts Center of Excellence.
In September of 2002 Sgt Kolek transferred to 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion where he was assigned to the Praetorian Guard LAV -25 Platoon as the Platoon Sergeant. Sgt Kolek was selected for Staff Sergeant that year and was promoted October 1st of 2002. Weapons Company then deployed to Iraq in February 2003 for multiple combat operations.
In Sept of 2003 SSgt Kolek was transferred to the Command element of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit as the Anti-terrorism / Force Protection Chief and deployed to again to the middle east.
July 2005 SSgt Kolek received orders to recruiting duty and was assigned to RS Orange where he earned the recognition as the Recruiter of the Year FY06, Small Station of the Year FY07, was Meritoriously promoted to Gunnery Sergeant July 2, 2007, and lastly Large Station of the Year FY08. Then in July 2008 GySgt Kolek transferred to RS Albuquerque to assume duties as the SNCOIC, Operations Chief and the Recruiter instructor for the Station, May of 2013 GySgt Kolek was promoted to his current rank of Master Sergeant.
Master Sergeant Kolek’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4th Award), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal W/Valor Device (4th Award), Combat Action Ribbon (2nd Award), Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), Iraqi Campaign Medal (4th Award), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Outstanding Military Volunteer Service Medal, and the coveted Marine Corps Recruiting Ribbon (5th Award).
Master Sergeant (Ret.) Kolek continues to pay it forward to service members by creating opportunities for a successful transition into the civilian world with meaningful and rewarding employment.
Paul S. Morgan
Paul is the co-owner of VX Aerospace in Morganton, North Carolina. VX Aerospace specializes in design and manufacture of composite materials for aerospace applications as well as other commercial and Department of Defense markets.
Paul is also President of AVID, LLC, a company in Yorktown, Virginia that designs, test and assembles UAS and other air vehicles.
Paul had 26 years of professional experience with government and industry at key leadership and management positions during his career as a U.S. Naval officer and naval aviator, culminating in the attainment of the rank of Captain. With broad, hands-on experience in all facets of naval operations and program management, he has had extensive leadership experience in the U.S. Navy, including, Program Manager, Chief Engineer, Operational Flight Test, Commanding Officer and Personnel Manager.
Paul’s final tour in the Navy was as the Program Manager of the Navy’s Unmanned Aviation organization, PMA-263, leading and overseeing multiple Unmanned System efforts for all U.S. Navy and Marine Corps unmanned aviation vehicles and systems across all Classes of UAS.
Paul is also an expert at commercial uses of Unmanned Systems and commercially operated UAS throughout the United States.
Claude Tomlinson, CMRP –
Electronics Technician Second Class, Submarines, U.S. Navy
Claude grew up mostly in Houston, Texas. He attended Cypress Creek High School with courses geared towards automobile mechanics, welding, and agriculture. He held numerous jobs during his high school years including cook (at the age of 13), several positions in the grocery industry, janitor, and finally a tire technician.
Claude began his Naval career 2 weeks following his graduation from high school in 1992. He attended boot camp in Great Lakes Illinois, followed by technical training in Groton, Ct. and Kings Bay, Ga.
Following training, in 1994 Claude was assigned to the Pre-Commission Unit Maine (SSBN 741). He completed 7 consecutive years of sea duty aboard the USS Maine (SSBN 741), USS West Virginia SSBN 736) and USNS Waters (T-AGS-45) while attached to the Fleet Ballistic Missile Operational Test Support Unit Two. During his sea duty, Claude completed 6 submarine deterrent patrols and numerous navigation system testing and missile range support missions aboard the USNS Waters, including a joint mission with the HMS Vanguard of the Royal Navy.
Upon his departure from Naval Service in 2001, Claude entered the offshore oil and gas industry as an electrical and electronics field technician, where he travelled the globe commissioning and repairing power and control systems on drilling rigs globally.
In 2003, Claude took a position as an electrician on an offshore drilling rig in Mexico for Noble Drilling. During his 13 years with Noble, Claude held positions as Electrician, Rig Maintenance Supervisor, Regional Maintenance Manager before being transferred to their corporate office, back in Houston Texas, where he filled the roles of Electrical Maintenance Superintendent, Electrical Systems Manager, and ultimately Reliability Manager for up to 80 offshore drilling sites globally.
Claude is now an entrepreneur and operates a maintenance and reliability solutions company.
Gary Wood –
Petty Officer 2nd, US Coast Guard
Gary was born into a Veteran family with both parents serving in the armed forces during WWII. Gary’s father volunteered for the Army Air Corps as a Flight Engineer on a B-24 bomber and his mother volunteered for the US Marine Corp as a transportation specialist driving all types of military vehicles. Gary’s father was presented with the Distinguished Flying Cross for a mission over Europe.

Growing up with the strong desire to serve, Gary enlisted into the US Coast Guard in 1982 and studied Electronics Technology, specializing in radar and communications. He served aboard two of the Coast Guard’s “High Endurance” cutters; USCGC Bibb (WHEC-31) and USCHC Hamilton (WHEC-715) as well as at an engineering office overseeing the building of the Coast Guard’s newest Cutters, the 270’ “Famous Class” Medium Endurance Cutter.
Upon discharge in 1986, Gary went back to the family business of distribution for fuels and lubricants in the Southeastern New England area focusing on Industrial, Commercial and Military customers. When the business was sold in 1992, Gary began working for Castrol North America, a division of Burma Castrol Ltd as a Territory Manager for the Southeastern New England area, and being promoted to District Manager North Atlantic.
Gary has been with multiple international Companies, selling lubricants and lubricant analysis instruments to industrial, commercial or military customers worldwide and is proud to be working with HF Sinclair selling Petro-Canada Lubricants.
Gary and his family are active with Veteran’s Organizations (Both within HF Sinclair and external) continue the mission of service with Scholarships and Mentoring.
